West Hills Honda introduces RIDE RED AND GO GREEN! You may not notice the changes at West Hills Honda, but we’re taking every step possible to reduce, recycle and reuse. When we found out our used tires were ending up in a landfill, we contracted with Liberty Tire, and now our used tires are frozen, shattered and recycled into such items as playground flooring. Also in our service department, we’re recycling our used oil, filters and batteries as well. In our parts department, you’ll notice the ubiquitous plastic bag is gone, replaced with recycled packing boxes. Of course, as always, we’re happy to tote your purchases to your bike or car for you. All through our store you’ll see blue recycling waste baskets. We use most of our copy paper twice, and then the waste is recycled. We recycle our depleted print cartridges through Lexmark, Brother and Staples. Coming soon – because there’s always room for improvement – we’re hoping to find a recycling facility for our aluminum soda cans!
