Welcome to West Hills Honda's Rider's Corner, your one-stop resource for everything powersports.
Below you'll find useful links to local weather conditions, the best riding roads, plus state agencies like the Motorcycle Safety Program, the PA Department of Motor Vehicles and Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Ohio and WV riders, we have not forgotten you. Links to your state agencies are here too. We want to help you get out and ride. As our tagline says, our goal is to give you The Ride of Your Life!
Click the PA Motorcycle Safety Program logo, above, and learn how to get your motorcycle license and where to find free local training classes. In addition to the basic rider course for two-wheel drivers, the MSP, celebrating 30 years of training PA's riders, also offers three-wheel training classes, plus advanced courses for returning riders or those looking to improve their riding skills.
Our little corner of PA/OH/WV boasts some of the most scenic roads you'll find anywhere, and chances are you've enjoyed many of them. But click the logo, above, and we can almost guarantee this site, motorcycleroads.com, will help you find somewhere new and amazing to ride. Just enter your state, and whether you're looking for scenery or road quality, and in just a few seconds you'll see roads near and far that other motorcyclists recommend.
Off-road riders, this one's for you. Visit the DCNR's site by clicking the logo above, and the off-road world will be at your fingertips. Find state parks, maps, local trails, even renew your ATV or Side by Side registration. Through September 15 be sure to click on the "ATV Survey" under "News Releases" on their home page to participate in a study that just may result in establishing more riding trails in PA. Be sure to make your voice heard!
We are sort of obsessed with The Riding Obsessions's weather forecast. Just enter your zip and you'll get the usual weather map and forecast. Yeah, so what, right? Well, the site also gives you riding gear recommendations, so you can be properly kitted out for whatever weather the day sends your way.
PennDot. What more can we say? Tar and chip? Ugh. Tar snakes? Double ugh. It seems like PennDot sometimes forgets we motorcyclists exist. But, if you need to renew your drivers license or if, like us, you sometimes forget to renew your bike registration until moments before the big ride, you can do all that and more, and in seconds, on their site. Click the reviled logo for all PennDOT's online services.
As we're situated just over the line from lovely Ohio (or O-H-Ten, as we PA peeps say), we like to keep our Ohio riders in mind. Click the above to locate Ohio's version of the PA DMV, the Ohio BMV. Just like on the PA DMV site, you'll find access to many online services, like change of address or renewing your drivers license, all of which you can do from the comfort of your own sofa, without changing out of your pajamas.
Yep, you guessed it. We're just minutes from wild wonderful West Virginia too. Of course you can find online license and registration info on the WV DMV site. Duh. But we're particularly impressed with the Governor's Safety Program page, which you can access by clicking the WV DMV logo above. There you'll find info about the state's ATV Safety and Awareness program, along with the state's Motorcycle Safety Program, and ride safe tips. Nice job WV!
